THE OTMAR WILLIAMS FAMILY 'S

MORE RECENT REUNIONS

A first time reunion for the grandchildren of Celia and Otmar Williams was held at the home of Marvin and Ruth Jolliff northeast of Elnora on July 25, 2009.  Sixteen of the nineteen living cousins were present.

Otmar and Celia Williams, descendents of the family that established the village of Williams in Lawrence County, Indiana moved to southern Daviess County in 1918 and relocated to a farm just west of the Walnut Hill Cemetery north of Odon in 1928.  Seven of their eight children married from that location and established themselves as farm families in Daviess County.  It was from those farmsteads that twenty-three grandchildren ventured into a variety of careers and occupations in all parts of the United States.  Cousins returning to Indiana for this reunion came from Florida, Oregon, Ohio, Kentucky and Illinois.  Indiana cousins came from Columbia City, Carmel, Farmersburg, Vincennes, Bloomfield, Washington, Plainville, Odon and Elnora.
