A first time
reunion for the
grandchildren of Celia and Otmar Williams was held at the home
of
Marvin and Ruth Jolliff northeast of Elnora on July 25, 2009.Sixteen of the nineteen living cousins were present.

Williams,
descendents of the family that established the village
of Williams in Lawrence County, Indiana
moved to southern DaviessCounty
in 1918 and relocated to a farm just west of the WalnutHillCemetery north of
Odon in 1928.Seven of their eight
children married from
that location and established themselves as farm families in DaviessCounty.It
was
from
those
farmsteads
that
twenty-three
grandchildren
ventured into a variety of careers and occupations in all
parts
of the United States.Cousins returning to Indiana
for this reunion came from Florida, Oregon, Ohio, Kentucky and Illinois.Indiana
cousins came from ColumbiaCity, Carmel,
Farmersburg,
Vincennes, Bloomfield,
Washington, Plainville, Odon and Elnora.
